Contest release - thoughts and known issues






Well, here we are.
The deadline has come to bite us right in the ass, as and as always we are nowhere near ready.
Life, jobs and health have gotten in the way of this poor bastard of a game, so at the moment, while playable to the end (we hope) it's very unbalanced and rushed. I do think the game has promise and some charm (god, I hope) and I want to fix and expand it if we can.
As always, if you try our game please leave us a comment, it means SO much.
We've compiled a list of stuff you don't have to report: we know u_u
“KNOWN BUGS” list
- General balancing: it was a race to the clock and we simply couldn’t make it.
- Animations do not display properly in combat (many of them show up at the upper left of the screen).
- Enemies and allies are placed awkwardly on the battle scene and some are too small.
- Catching is a bit fussy (enemy stays in the fight and doesn’t disappear).
- The storage limit for monsters is not enforced.
- Sometimes caught enemies come at lvl 1.
Unimplemented features:
- Special unlock conditions for the ultimate spirits of each category aren’t set, so the “gifts” in the locked chests have no use.
- Had no time to implement merging items (stat growth, exp bonuses). THey have been adapted as other things for now.
- Elemental weaknesses are not implemented.
Features we'd like to include in fixed and expansion:
- A much cleaner plot and a few new characters.
- Balance, more skills, more monsters.
- More ways to use the merging.
- A relationship and conversation system.
- More involved monster categories and combinations
And more! Hopefully. First, we need to recover from the grind. See you around and hopefully you can like what's there!
